A New Concept in Healthcare Means Better Care Right in Your Neighborhood
Everyone knows about hospitals and doctors' offices. Now a newer concept in healthcare is coming to western Union County.
Carolinas Medical Center-Union has developed a CMC-Waxhaw healthcare pavilion near the intersection of Providence Road (N.C. Highway 16) and Gray Byrum Road in Waxhaw to meet your family's medical needs with convenient service and personalized care. While new to our area, the healthcare pavilion concept is well-established in other parts of the country; three already have been approved by the state of North Carolina in our region.
What it is
The CMC-Waxhaw healthcare pavilion is a state-of-the-art outpatient services facility with advanced and innovative services that go far beyond a traditional physician's office.
Services at CMC-Waxhaw include:
- A free-standing, 24-hour emergency department, to improve access to emergency care
- A full-service imaging center with CT scanner, ultrasound and diagnostic X-ray
- Observation beds for patients who need may need extended examination and treatment
- Laboratory services
- Medical offices including primary care and specialty physician practices
- Personalized care
The CMC-Waxhaw healthcare pavilion is only one component of CMC-Union's commitment to superior, advanced outpatient care. But it's a commitment made every day by our physicians and staff. After all, we live here, too.
